Who we are
We've shown visitors Copenhagen by bike since 2013. We know how the city works and why it looks the way it does, and we can tell you the story behind most of what you'll ride past.
Why Ja Tak
Ja tak means yes please. It's what you say in Danish when someone offers you something you want.
What we do
We rent proper Danish city bikes, e-bikes and cargo bikes, mostly to people who haven't cycled in a city like this before. The useful part is the few minutes at the counter: we set your saddle and help you plan your ride.
How we think about it
- Checked between rentals
- We check every bike between rentals: brakes, lights, tyres and chain.
- What's included
- Lights and all taxes are in the price. No deposit, and no cleaning fee for a bike that got rained on.
- Write to the shop
- Email us at rental@jatakbikerental.dk and the answer comes from the shop, from someone who can see the bikes.
- We'd rather say no
- If a bike is wrong for what you're doing, we'll say so, even when the wrong one costs more. Somebody who enjoys the ride comes back.
